Joey Logano won the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown on Saturday night in front of a sellout of 6,500 at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.

Sergio Pena, a 16-year-old from Virginia, swapped the lead with Logano several times.

Logano, the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rookie of the year, won his second Showdown race. He won the Showdown in 2007. Matt Kobyluck, the winner of the Showdown in 2009, finished third.

Michael Self crashed in the Turn 3 corner and brought out a red flag with 10 laps to go.

Pena was the leader after 200 laps. He took the lead from Logano on Lap 178. Jason Bowles, the K&N Pro Series West champion in 2009, was third and Kobyluck was fourth after 200 laps.

Logano led all but one of the first 100 laps. Pena led the first lap and Logano took over until mandatory pit stops on Lap 100. Pena pitted in second place, with David Gilliland in third, Eric Holmes in fourth and Sean Caisse in fifth.

Gilliland, a driver from Riverside, had to withdraw from the race because of electrical problems after the first round of pit stops. His car stalled in Turn 4 and had to be pushed by a tow truck around the race track and into the pits.

Caisse was involved in a crash with Auggie Vidovich and Greg Pursley on Lap 128. Caisse and Vidovich had to withdraw because of damage to their cars in the crash.
