Clara Kim to direct REDCAT
Clara Kim, a curator of the Gallery at REDCAT since its 2003 inception and acting director for the last year, has been promoted to the position of director and curator.
Kim has organized shows for such artists as Haegue Yang, Choi Jeong Hwa, Charles Gaines and Edgar Arceneaux at REDCAT, the secondary theater at Walt Disney Concert Hall that is CalArts’ downtown center for visual and performing arts. She succeeds Eungie Joo, who joined the staff of New York’s New Museum of Contemporary Art last summer.
