‘Matrix’ exploded
I can take a joke as well as the next guy, but until reading about the philosophical/religious interpretations of “The Matrix Reloaded” (“Religious Critics Unload on ‘Matrix,’ Mixed-Bag of Themes,” by Mark I. Pinsky, May 27), I never fully appreciated the expression “I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.” Arguably, not since TV’s “Kung Fu” has a hodgepodge of pretentious, half-baked philosophy been so wildly successful.
