Archeologists excavating the site of a Roman temple in London have found a sealed box containing a white cream bearing the finger marks of the person who last used it nearly 2,000 years ago.

The substance, which will be chemically analyzed, could be face cream or face paint, said Museum of London curator Francis Grew. The box was found about two miles south of central London. The site, dating from AD 50, contains two small temples, a guest house for travelers, plinths for statues and a stone pillar.
