Monsoon rains have killed at least 175 people in Nepal, Bangladesh and India, with swollen rivers flooding thousands of villages and triggering mudslides, officials said.
The rising waters have forced millions to flee to higher ground. The worst displacement was in Bangladesh, where more than 2 million people fled, said relief officials in the capital, Dhaka. Many lost houses, crops and livestock.
The death toll of 69 in that nation includes 38 people who died from diarrhea caused by drinking polluted water.
