No Longer ‘Sacred’?: ABC has pulled the controversial first-year priest drama “Nothing Sacred” for the next two weeks, after just two low-rated airings since bringing the show back on Saturday nights. Although the network would not say the series is officially canceled, sources say it is not expected to return. The show has completed its production order, and the writing staff was recently dismissed. . . . CBS will begin airing “Unsolved Mysteries,” the former NBC series, on Friday nights at 9 starting April 3. The network said that the fate of “Family Matters” and “Step by Step”--which had been airing in the slot before the Winter Olympics--is “undetermined.”

Other Side Not Revealed: CBS News President Andrew Heyward said that “60 Minutes” producers were unaware that Kathleen E. Willey, who appeared on the newsmagazine Sunday to say she had been groped by President Clinton, had corresponded with the chief executive after the alleged 1993 encounter. “We didn’t know about the letters,” Heyward told The Times, referring to friendly notes from Willey to Clinton that were released by the White House following the “60 Minutes” interview. He said Clinton attorney Robert S. Bennett--interviewed for the story--”had ample opportunity to tell us about them if he knew about them.”

George Lucas, whose “Star Wars” was overtaken by James Cameron’s “Titanic” as all-time box-office leader, Wednesday took out an ad in the trades congratulating Cameron. It depicted the “Star Wars” characters going down with a sinking ship, and C3PO telling R2D2, “I’m sure this is all your fault.” . . . Three paintings worth more than $20 million, including works by Frederick Church and Edward Hopper, were vandalized at the Dallas Museum of Art earlier this week and will require about $21,500 in repairs, police said Wednesday. The works appeared to be scratched with a key. . . . King World Productions said it will stop production on its syndicated show “American Journal” at the end of the season. King World said it will use “AJ’s” resources to strengthen its other newsmagazine, “Inside Edition.” . . . Singer James Brown has agreed to enter a 90-day drug treatment program after pleading no contest to firearms charges, a South Carolina prosecutor said. Brown, 64, was arrested Jan. 27 after he allegedly fired guns at his home. . . . Pamela Anderson on Wednesday dropped her Superior Court lawsuit against the Internet Entertainment Group, which had been selling a sex tape of her and estranged husband Tommy Lee. Anderson had reportedly signed an earlier agreement with IEG allowing distribution of the tape. Her attorney could not be reached for comment.
