‘America’s Most Wanted’ Ends With Special

Fox’s “America’s Most Wanted,” bids adieu after eight seasons with a one-hour special tonight at 9 on KTTV-TV Channel 11.

Hosted by John Walsh, the finale features the five most wanted fugitives still at large after they were profiled on the show. The series helped law enforcement authorities capture 428 fugitives.

Elsewhere, KCET-TV Channel 28 presents “No Dreams Deferred,” today at 2:30 p.m. The documentary focuses on a couple who opened a bakery and deli in Washington to help African Americans in the community transform their lives.

Fox’s late night comedy series, “Mad TV,” returns for its second season tonight at 11 on Channel 11. Christina Applegate of “Married. . .With Children” hosts. Spoofs include sketches of “Jeopardy!,” Michael Jackson and Snoop Doggy Dogg.

Popular singer Gloria Estefan headlines the HBO music special, “Gloria Estefan: The Evolution Tour,” tonight at 10. The concert originates from the Miami Arena.

USA premieres two new kids’ series today: “Wing Commander Academy,” featuring the vocal talents of Mark Hamill and Malcolm McDowell, at 11:30 a.m., followed at noon by “Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm.”

KTLA-TV Channel 5 unveils “All Dogs Go to Heaven,’ today at 7 a.m. The new weekly children’s series is based on the two animated musical features.

As the National League West pennant race heads into its final week, the Dodgers take on the San Diego Padres today and Sunday at 1 p.m. on Channels 11 and 5, respectively.

Mike Wallace has the first TV interview with Atlanta security guard Richard Jewell since the Olympics park bombing, Sunday on “60 Minutes,” 7 p.m. on CBS.
