Weekend TV : Bob Navarro Opens His ‘Journal’ Sunday
Veteran Los Angeles journalist Bob Navarro begins a weekly public-affairs series Sunday on KCBS-TV Channel 2, where he is director of editorials and station affairs.
The first installment of “Bob Navarro’s Journal,” at 4:30 p.m. examines the “Save Our State” initiative, which asks for the denial of public school and MediCal-related services to undocumented residents and their children. Scheduled to appear are Ron Prince, an Orange County accountant and co-author of the initiative; Ed Vincent, mayor of Inglewood, and Los Angeles County Sheriff Sherman Block.
Future shows will discuss the resurgence of tuberculosis in Southern California, the use of celebrity spokespersons to sell community causes and the escalating numbers of hit-and-run accidents.
