Results of an autopsy on double-A pitcher Jeffrey Hoffman by the Broome County, N.Y., coroner were inconclusive, said Albany-Colonie Yankee spokesman Rip Rowan. A preliminary investigation ruled out suicide and foul play as the cause of the death of Hoffman, who was found in his hotel room in Binghamton, N.Y., but police are investigating because of his age, said Lt. Gerald Rusin.
