Clay Cancels Show in Dallas
Raunchy comedian Andrew Dice Clay has canceled an upcoming Dallas concert because he’s afraid of violating Texas’ strict anti-obscenity law, his publicist said Friday.
Michael Levine, in Los Angeles Friday, said Clay canceled the Sunday show because “we feared the possibility that Dice might be subject to arrest, embarrassment and subsequently jailed.”
Before the cancellation was announced, Dallas County Assistant Dist. Atty. David Pickett said investigators would not attend the Clay concert, but would wait to see whether complaints were made before taking action that could lead to criminal charges.
