Auto workers at all three U.S. car makers will get raises, making hourly pay nearly equal at all three, the United Auto Workers union said. Workers at General Motors Corp. and Ford Motor Co. will get a 17-cent-per-hour raise for cost of living, while those at Chrysler Corp. will get 2 cents an hour more. After next week, workers at the Big Three will also get a COLA payment compensating them for a rise in the consumer price index during June, July and August. With all increases, wages for an assembler, the most common job classification, will rise to $15.47 an hour at Ford, $15.46 an hour at GM and $14.55 at Chrysler.
