Influential Science Fiction Author Robert Heinlein Dies
In the obituary of Heinlein, it was stated that his final novel was “The Cat Who Walked Through Walls,” published in 1986. That novel was neither his last nor was it published in that year. (My first-edition copy is copyrighted 1985). Heinlein’s last novel was “To Sail Beyond the Sunset,” published in 1987.
As a long-time reader and admirer of Heinlein’s work, I thank The Times for the generous space alloted to an otherwise accurate and extensive memorial to one of the more influential writers of the 20th Century.
