Rick Pitino, basketball coach at Providence College who has hinted that he will stay with the Big East school instead of jumping to the pros, has been contacted by at least four NBA teams, the Providence Journal-Bulletin reported.

According to the newspapers, the New York Knicks and the Phoenix Suns have definitely contacted Pitino. The other two teams are believed to be the Philadelphia 76ers and either the Clippers or the Sacramento Kings. Pitino, who is in the second year of a four-year contract, has said he will decide by May 1.
