Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner have reteamed for “The Return of the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman.” It’s a TV movie that NBC expects to broadcast this spring. Richard Anderson is back, too, as their supervisor--a role he played on both “The Six Million Dollar Man” (1973-1978) and “The Bionic Woman” (1976-1978). There is a new twist, however: Steve Austin (Majors) will now have a bionic son (Tom Schanley).

Robert Hays of ABC’s “Starman” is the star of “Murder by the Book,” a CBS movie that will be broadcast March 17. He has a double role, playing both the author of detective novels and the fictional detective. Not surprisingly, they get involved in a real-life mystery. Also in the cast are Celeste Holm, Fred Gwynne and Catherine Mary Stewart.

Linda Purl, who plays an attorney on “Matlock,” turns witness in “Hollow Point,” a suspense film that’s being produced for ABC. She stars as a woman who identifies a man involved in a murder, only to have him released on a technicality, whereupon he begins stalking her. Billy Drago plays the killer, Yaphet Kotto portrays a police investigator and Terry Lester is Purl’s love interest.

Dick Van Dyke has been tabbed to host the 13th annual “People’s Choice Awards,” which will be broadcast on CBS next Sunday from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. The nominees include “Cheers,” “The Cosby Show” and “Golden Girls” as favorite TV comedy and “Dynasty,” “Miami Vice” and “Hill Street Blues” as favorite TV drama.

Patrick Duffy of “Dallas” will co-host NBC’s telecast of the 22nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which will originate at Knotts Berry Farm on April 6. Joining him will be the singing group, the Judds.

The NBC soap opera “Another World” will be getting a new theme song this spring. It’ll be performed by Crystal Gayle and Gary Morris, who will introduce it during an appearance on the show. They also sing it on their new album.

CBS has set March 24 as the telecast date for “Deadly Care,” a TV movie in which Cheryl Ladd plays a nurse hooked on drugs. Jason Miller and Jennifer Salt co-star as colleagues at the hospital where she works.

John Milius, who has written such films as “Conan the Barbarian” and “Apocalpyse Now,” has written an episode of NBC’s “Miami Vice” that will be broadcast this spring. His fans will not be surprised to learn that it deals with what NBC describes as “three menacing bikers who terrorize Miami to avenge the death of a drug-dealing colleague.”
