Patti’s Book ‘Novel Piece of Fiction,’ First Lady Says
WASHINGTON — Nancy Reagan has read “Home Front,” the semi-biographical book by her daughter, Patti Davis, and said today she agrees with her husband: “It’s a novel piece of fiction.”
Press secretary Elaine Crispen said the First Lady read the book at Camp David, Md., over the weekend. She quoted Mrs. Reagan as saying: “As my husband said, it’s a novel piece of fiction.”
“They hope Patti finds writing satisfying,” Crispen added.
The book is about an ambitious man who becomes governor and then President of the United States, a wife who is rigid and fashion conscious and two children who become alienated from their parents.
