Football: St. Paul alumni proud of Degnan, Lins, Mazzotta

Three ex-football players who played for legendary coach Marijon Ancich have their teams playing in championship games this weekend.

Pat Degnan, the coach at Quartz Hill who was quarterback for St. Paul’s 1972 championship team, will direct the Rebels against Mira Costa on Friday in the Western Division final. Tim Lins, who played for St. Paul in the late 1970s, will coach Moorpark against St. Bonaventure in the Northern Division finale. And Frank Mazzotta will have La Habra play Tustin in the Southwest final.
