Daryl Hannah was arrested Tuesday outside the White House after refusing police orders to leave a sit-in protest by environmentalists against a proposed Canada-to-Texas pipeline.

The ‘Splash’ and ‘Roxanne’ actress, who’s also signed on for a third ‘Kill Bill’ film, was arrested for failure to obey a lawful order, U.S. Parks police said, and released after paying a $100 fine.

Hannah, 50, was among more than 70 people arrested Tuesday. The proposed $7-billion Keystone XL pipeline would bring oil sands petroleum from Canada to Texas refineries. Hundreds of people have been arrested outside the White House since the Tar Sands Action protest began on Aug. 20, according to police.

Turns out Hannah’s not the only one with a SAG card, either: Canadian-born ‘Superman’ actress Margot Kidder was arrested there last week.

At issue? Supporters of the pipeline project say oil-and-jobs-and-stuff, those against it say tar-and-greenhouse-gases-and-stuff.
